After 10 years, Naomi returned to the land, which by then had become fruitful (1:22). After 10 years, Boaz took the place of Elimelech as the head of Naomi’s remnant family. After 10 generations, Judah returned to the congregation of Israel (cf. Deuteronomy 23) as the royal tribe, and the land flourished.
