Things are changing and all the changes will be great blessings so long as you don’t let the demands of the moment distract you from being the church. Look at this new phase as a fresh opportunity to live up to our name – Trinity Reformed Church.
God is Love, and by His Spirit, the Father has united us to His beloved Son, so that we share the Son’s love for His Father. The God who is love takes us up into the communion of love that He is.
God is Word. The Father speaks the Word by the breath of the Spirit. He speaks this Word in Scripture, and if we love Him, we love and keep this Word.
God is Spirit, and that Spirit has been poured out among us to bind the many into one body of Christ for the praise of the Father.
To say that God is Trinity is to speak of love. To say that we are Trinity Reformed Church is to say that we are created to share in and display that love: Love for the God who is love, love for the Word that is God, love for one another by the Spirit who dwells in each.
In the midst of a transition in leadership, in the midst of a building project, in the midst of the daily changes of life, remember this this above all: Abide in love.
