A weekend-long International Art Forum on “Art and Beauty” is to be held this week, November 1-3, at the headquarters of the World Youth Alliance in New York City. Discussion will evolve around the questions: “What is beauty? What is the role of beauty in art? Should art always be beautiful?”
The forum will feature lectures by the New Criterion ’s executive editor James Panero, Marcantonio Architects’ co-founder Dino Marcantonio, and Wayne Adams, a contemporary visual artist. An exhibition of artists’ pieces and a concert by the World Youth Alliance Chamber Orchestra will comprise the forum’s events. For a full schedule of events and to RSVP, visit their website here .
