The April issue of First Things is now on sale¯a set of tributes and memorials that mark the death of the magazine’s founder, Richard John Neuhaus. Among the many fine pieces is Fr. Neuhaus’ unpublished essay, ” The One True Church ,” together with reviews of Fr. Neuhaus’ books, letters from cardinals and presidents and ordinary readers, and the homily preached by Fr. Raymond de Souza¯said, by many of our fellow mourners, to be the finest funeral homily they had ever heard.
As a special feature, we offer here two additional reflections on the extraordinary life of Fr. Neuhaus, by Robert P. George , a First Things board member and professor at Princeton University, and Richard J. Mouw , president of Fuller Seminary.
