The Tournament of Novels 2011 – Round 4

Round three was dominated by blowouts—and not much else.

Blowouts : Pride and Prejudice terminated War and Peace with extreme prejudice (54 to 39 percent); A Tale of Two Cities ended Don Quixote ‘s quixotic quest for the title (51 to 41 percent); Heart of Darkness showed the horror to East of Eden (58 to 27 percent); and in the biggest margin of the round, The Hobbit kicked Brave New World out of the shire and out of the running (67 to 28 percent).

With only powerhouse novels remaining, who will make it into the Final Four?
