The Party of Generation versus the Party of Innovation?

First off, here are my BIG THOUGHTS on that way of dividing American opinion. It goes without saying that it’s not the only way, and all such bloggy divisions are analytic schemes to clarify the real issues.

Senator Lee, as Pete explains, is trying to situate the Republicans as the more “generationist”—or family friendly—party, with the intention, of course, of judiciously moderating the downsides of innovation through nonintrusive policy.

Romney, with his generationist demographics and beliefs, sure could have done the same thing.
