Animal rights leader Gary Francione (abolition, veganism) and I debated on Michael Medved last week. An MP3 of that program is now available by hitting this link. The Medved Show decided to invite us back for Round 2, live on Monday, May 3, 1-2 Pacific Time. Although it seemed to me that he had more time than me, which is fine—listen and judge for yourself—Francione has called for reinforcements from supporters at his blog:
Medved is conservative and if the past is any guide, most of the callers will be conservative and most will side with Smith. That’s fine, but perhaps some balance would be a good idea, so do please call in and ask Smith any questions you might have. Go vegan. It’s better for your health (animal foods cause physical harm); it’s better for the environment (animal agriculture is an ecological disaster); but, most importantly, it’s the morally right thing to do.
I welcome all calls. Let’s get ready to rumble.
