It was better delivered than usual. It had real focus as a defense of free enterprise against its enemies (including some “Republicans”.) Romney still isn’t there and he isn’t close to getting there. He needs to explain how his agenda will lead to higher living standards and reasonable security while the Obama agenda endangers one or the other or both. Even when Romney is at his best, he is giving the speech of a man who just hopes to win by default and that stuff about “restoring American and not transforming America” is good enough. Maybe it will be, but I doubt it.
