Well, a better headline to describe the Panetta order to lift the combat ban for women is the one Powerline chooses:
I have always had respect for Leon Panetta, based in part on good reports from relatives on his early career in central California politics. And there has been evidence in the last few years that he has made efforts to protect Americans who serve from various sorts of vindictive Democratic madness.
But if you read the Powerline post, you will know that this action, surely an order from our President, is utterly irresponsible. Panetta should have refused to issue it while he remained Secretary of Defense.
Contemptible. Flush prudence down the toilet, for the sake of trumpeting the simplistic stance that 9th-grade feminist minds, most of all the perpetually 9th-grade ones, approve of.
