Keeping Up With The Terrie Schindler Schiavo Life and Hope Network

Since the cruel dehydration death of Terri Schiavo in 2005, her family has been very active—through the foundation they created, now called the Terri Schindler Schiavo Life and Hope Network—speaking up and advocating for the equal moral worth of people with profound cognitive disabilities.  As a result of their work, both in front of and behind the scenes, lives have been literally saved.

The Network’s profile continues to grow.  Country Music star Collin Raye recently signed on as national spokesman.  Earlier this year, the Network was supported by a concert at which the Beach Boys and Lettermen performed.  Bobby and Suzanne, Terri’s siblings, continue a hectic speaking schedule advocating for human exceptionalism and the proper care and inclusion of the most vulnerable among us. Better people you will never meet.  I am proud to call the Schindler family my very good friends.
