Illiberal Manifesto Discovered

Like cicadas, they’ve been cocooned for years, molting and breeding under the earth: In our backyards, next to our three-car-wide driveways. But now these hostis are surfacing, and they’re on the attack.

Intrigued by several recent articles purporting to expose the agenda of the Illiberal Catholics, I did a little research and unearthed something even more disturbing: A detailed, eighteen point manifesto.

To get a sense of how far back this conspiracy stretches—secondary sources allege this document was written in the 1860s  by a Victorian man some in their cult are now considering venerating in a religious manner.
