Very long-term notice: A conference honoring Ralph McInerny, the late philosopher (novelist, poet, essayist, activist, journalist, etc.) and friend to this magazine and many of its editors and writers, and in fact a man who seems to have been a real friend of almost everyone he met.
“Philosophy in Theological Education” will be held from February 10th to 12th, 2011, at Ave Maria University. Sponsored by the Center for the Renewal of Catholic Theology and the Aquinas Center of Ave Maria University, the speakers include Fr. Charles Morerod, the secretary general of the International Theological Commission, Jesuit Frs. Joseph Kotersky and Brian Daley, Fr. Romanus Cessario, O.P., Professors John Boyle, Reinhard Huetter, and Thomas Hibbs, Ave Maria’s own Fr. Matthew Lamb, and Michael Novak.
The university doesn’t seem to have posted anything on its website yet, but the flyer I received says to contact Mercedes Cox for information (mercedes.cox@avemaria.edu).
