So I’m watching some of the DeMint thing on CNN. If presidential elections were based who would do best in the format of a pseudo-doctoral thesis defense to a friendly audience, Gingrich would be Emperor of the Universe. The one Robert P. George question I saw on gay marriage was solid and called forth a substantive answer, but I wish you had Douglas Holtz-Eakin there to ask questions on economics and that the panelists were more aggressive about following up their questions. You should go out of your way to see Gingrich’s performance. It is a thing of beauty in its way and a reminder of why people used to take him seriously.
