I tentatively suggested that Herman could survive the 9s. But he can’t set himself up on the non-flipfloppy right of Romney if he’s proclaims himself pro-choice on abortion. So it turns out he doesn’t really understand the issue, and he really doesn’t have competent advisors. He was poised to win Iowa. Now someone might say that Romney wins even there, and, if he does, they’ll be no stopping him.
Needless to say, it’s not so great if Romney wins by default before anyone has actually voted. But I agree with Pete that that result isn’t likely to stand.
But who? Perry is too dumb and Texan. Newt isn’t rugged and has those “character issues” that will explode as soon as his campaign seems serious. Santorum is really a blast from the past and has those anger management issues.
