Art in the Obama White House

The White House has released a list of forty-five artworks that will decorate the Obama’s private residence, West Wing offices, and the East Wing. Michelle Obama worked with curators from the White House and the museums to select each of the pieces.

Apparantly, the First Lady really, really likes the work of George Ca tlin —twelve of the forty-five works are by the Pennsylvania native who specialized in portraits of Native Americans in the Old West.
