Daring to Tell the Truth

Well, speaking of THE VELVET UNDERGROUND and THE VELVET REVOLUTION, we wonder, with Havel, whether political life can be about living in the truth.

Pete is probably right about our two real alternatives when it comes to health care. That means, as Capretta explains, our demographic “issues” have caused the excellent and fairly cheap employer-based health care many—if not most—Americans enjoy to have become unsustainable. What politician can tell that inconvenient truth? I’m all for someone trying.
