UK Decriminalizes Family and Friends Assisting the Suicides of the Dying and Disabled

A disaster for the rule of law and the sanctity of life ethic: Despite the Parliament repeatedly refusing to legalize assisted suicide, the Lords ordered the UK”s head prosecutor to publish guidelines letting people know when the law against assisted suicide will not be enforced.  They will be published Wednesday, and will all but promise not to prosecute family members and friends who assist the suicides of people with serious disabilities and the dying who think their suffering to be unbearable.  There is much to be said about this: I begin over at Secondhand Smoke .
