New Evidence of Broad and Deep Opposition to Assisted Suicide

The media often depict assisted suicide opponents as monolithic religious right /orthodox Catholic activists. But this is a two-dimensional caricature that badly skews the truth. In actuality, a broad and diverse coalition has formed to prevent the transforming of killing into a legitimate “medical treatment.” The latest evidence: This press release by LULAC, the oldest and largest Latino civil rights organization, which assails assisted suicide as “incompatible with basic human rights and Latino values.”
