Natural Law and Newman’s Insight

While I’m mentioning conferences you may want to attend, here are two more.

First, Robert George, a member of our editorial board, will be giving the Archbishop Gerety Lecture at Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University. He will be speaking on “Natural Law, God, and Human Dignity” on Wednesday, September 22nd, at 7:30 p.m., in Jubilee Hall Auditorium on the Seton Hall campus.

Admission is free but they encourage advance registration. Writer Kathleen Childers at theology@shu.edu.

Second, two friends of the magazines, Fathers George Rutler, author of The Liturgical Experts’ Long Tassels , and Father Joseph Koterski, S.J., will be speaking at a conference on John Henry Newman. Cor ad Cor Loquitur will be held Saturday, October 23rd from 8:30 till apparently 3:00 or so, at St. Paul the Apostle church and Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus.

Admission is just $10, and that includes lunch. They ask that you e-mail theworkny@catholic.org to register.
