Since devoutly religious Jews are restricted when surfing the web (they may stumble across sexually explicit material), an Israeli company has developed a new kosher search engine for Hebrew-speaking Orthodox Jews. Koogle —a play on the name of a Jewish noodle pudding dish, known as kugel, and Google—links to Israeli news and shopping sites but filters the results to exclude unsuitable content.
The site even prevents users from breaking the fourth commandment: Koogle crashes if users attempt to search for an item or post a message on the Sabbath.
