Junior Fellowship and Internship
Apply below to be a Junior Fellow or Intern at First Things.
Junior Fellows play a vital role in the day-to-day production of our publication. A First Things fellowship provides recent college graduates with formative experiences in preparation for careers in print and digital journalism, non-profit operations, and development. Fellows will cultivate essential editorial skills such as copyediting, fact-checking, and proofreading while assisting with the production of our newsletters, web pieces, and the magazine. Fellows assist with larger First Things programming by staffing events and supporting our Readers of First Things, reading groups, or ROFTers.
As a First Things Intern, you will assist with editorial, operational, and developmental duties, responding as needs arise during the publication process. Interns support Junior Fellows in their capacities as copyeditors, fact-checkers, and proofreaders. Interns perform archival work and help with event production. Internships are offered during fall and spring semesters, as well as over the summer.
Become a First Things Junior Fellow or Intern and work closely with renowned editors, scholars, and writers, building a strong resume and professional network while in the heart of New York City.
