About First Links, and Second Links Too

You will have noticed a new feature below, called First Links , pointing you to stories we think you might find of interest. Later this afternoon we’ll be posting a second stage called, naturally enough, “Second Links,” and occasionally in the evenings we will post a “Third Links.”

Taking advantage of the editors’ wide reading on the web, we hope to do this every business day. First Links will generally cover important or interesting news stories, Second Links commentary, general essays, and lighter news, and Third Links anything else we have that we want to share. Let me note that our including a link does not indicate agreement, only that we think it worth sharing with our broad and diverse readership.

Readers with suggestions should write us at tips@firstthings.com.
