A Memory of Ralph McInerny

“Is there anything that man didn’t do?” Christopher Kaczor’s mother asked him after hearing his report of Ralph McInerny’s funeral Mass, and that is the theme of almost everything written about him after his death one year ago.  But the admirable thing about the man wasn’t just the production, but the quality of the production in his many fields, especially those more personal, like friend and mentor. Here is a testimony from one of his students , Christopher Kaczor.

Here are some of his articles for First Things : The Writing Life (March 2006); Momento Mortimer (November 2001); and  Catholicism in America (March 1990);  and one  poem,  Effable .
