Huntsman: McCain Without the Heroism?

So says Byron York .

That means, of course, that he’s only a Republican when he feels like it, plays to the press more than Republican voters, and prides himself in being too classy to attack Obama.

That strategy got McCain the nomination because he’s also a real hero, and voters are always suckers for that patrotic stuff about a cause greater than myself etc. But McCain also got nominated because he was real lucky.

That strategy, of course, was a huge failure in the general election. And it’s even less the ticket when running against an incumbent.

But to be fair: Huntsman is more than McCain in one way. He’s proven himself to be a competent executive.

Here’s a longer version of this candidate won’t Hunt.
