Engaging Barth

Barth’s influence continues to grow, among evangelicals no less than others. David Gibson and Daniel Strange have edited a new book, Engaging With Barth (IVP, UK), that collects critical essays on Barth’s theology. The publicity information says, “This volume engages critically and courteously with Barth on a range of vital topics where, for the contributors, his interpretation of Scripture, reading of church history, and confession of Christian doctrine are unsatisfactory.”

Endorsed by John Webster, Kevin Vanhoozer, and David Wells, the book includes essays by Carl Trueman, Oliver Crisp, Donald Macleod, and Michael Horton. More information can be found at the book’s web site: www.engagingwithbarth.com.
