Dear Readers,
Thank you for being a part of our fall 2016 fundraising campaign! I’m delighted to report that, thanks to readers like you, we were able to raise $620,704 to support the work of First Things and the Institute on Religion and Public Life. We exceeded our fundraising goal by more than $100,000. I’m deeply grateful to have received such strong support from so many of our readers.
We will use the generous gifts donated throughout the campaign to defray the costs of publishing First Things, maintain FirstThings.com, and produce our other work, including the Junior Fellows program, symposia, podcasts, and other public programs, such as our Intellectual Retreats.
We could not do these things without your generous support. Thank you.
We have exciting things in store for 2017. Be sure to visit our website, watch your emails, and keep an eye on social media to keep up to date with all that lies ahead.
Once again, thank you for being a loyal reader of First Things.
Sincerely,
R. R. Reno, Editor
First Things
P.S. If you weren’t able to contribute during the campaign, or if you’d like to help us start the year ahead with an extra gift, donations can always be made at firstthings.com/donate.
You have a decision to make: double or nothing.
For this week only, a generous supporter has offered to fully match all new and increased donations to First Things up to $60,000.
In other words, your gift of $50 unlocks $100 for First Things, your gift of $100 unlocks $200, and so on, up to a total of $120,000. But if you don’t give, nothing.
So what will it be, dear reader: double, or nothing?
Make your year-end gift go twice as far for First Things by giving now.
