- Family Politics , by Scott Yenor
For those who want to know how we got to where we are in the philosophical debate over the family, and where to go from here, this book is indispensable.
- Left, Right and Christ , by Lisa Harper and David C. Innes
Solid arguments about evangelical politics.
- City of Man , by Michael Gerson and Peter Wehner
While we’re on the subject of evangelical politics.
- From Billy Graham to Sarah Palin , by D.G.Hart
The last one about evangelicals and politics, I promise.
- Modern and American Dignity , by Peter Augustine Lawler
I once described Peter Lawler as one of our greatest living neo-Thomists. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
- The Conservative Foundations of Liberal Order , by Daniel Mahoney
Amazon says that this book is frequently bought together with the aforementioned Lawler tome, perhaps because Lawler and Mahoney are frequently seen together. Another smart guy writing about the philosophical dimensions of contemporary political life.
