Here’s the link that I screwed up below on Gray death and so forth.
To continue Carl’s musings below:
I guess I would vote for Gingrich over Obama. But Gingrich is a jerk in obvious ways who hasn’t worked for more than a decade. He wouldn’t have a chance in heck. Too old—without being rugged—and would melt before Obama’s personal class.
I guess I would vote for Palin over Obama (and probably over Gingrich). But nobody with a reality show should be able to run. She’s “jumped the shark” as far as presidential plausibility goes. Plus, I think she knows she shouldn’t run, at least this time.
I would sit the election out rather than vote for Ron Paul.
Same with Trump.
Ryan, whom I would vote for, would lose. The Medicare reform proposal can’t be sold to Americans at this time. They actually don’t particularly like their lives going from DEFINED BENEFIT to DEFINED CONTRIBUTION so quickly. It will all happen soon enough, but Obama could demagogue his way to victory against him in 2012. He needs to stay in Congress to be a tough negotiator with Obama, who is better than even money to be reelected.
Daniels is being vetted throughout the press right now. We’ll see. Of course I would vote for him, but I’m not so clear on how electable he is, for now. He needs to get taller, for one thing.
Pawlenty exudes mediocrity and a kind of tonedeafness to me.
Herman Cain (is his name) is a smart guy and so far a shrewd debater. But no political experience at all! Minimal political knowledge? And his pizza stinks. It’s not self-evident he would lose, though, and we’ll see how he fares in the extended screen test which is the primary/caucus season. Can’t say for sure I wouldn’t vote for him in the primary.
I actually know some people who are for Santorum. But comes off as TOO ANGRY, and sometimes close to a MORON (although he really is a smart guy who knows stuff).
Huckabee has become more an entertainer than a leader. He had his chance, and he screwed it up. I would vote for him over Obama, but it ain’t going to come to that. Not in the primaries, though.
Romney would be a good president, but he ain’t going to win primaries. I would vote for him with some enthusiasm over Obama. Maybe in the primaries if he’s still alive when “the process” gets to Georgia.
More soon.
