Pathetic. Now, as if conjured from that great sci fi flick Westworld, comes the sex robot. From the story:
Mr Hines said: “She can’t vacuum, she can’t cook but she can do almost anything else if you know what I mean. “She’s a companion. She has a personality. She hears you. She listens to you. She speaks. She feels your touch. She goes to sleep. We are trying to replicate a personality of a person.”
Mr Hines, from TrueCompanion, said the doll could carry out simple conversations and was designed to “know exactly what you like”. He said: “Sex only goes so far, then you want to be able to talk to the person. “She knows exactly what you like. If you like Porsches, she likes Porsches. If you like soccer, she likes soccer.”
And the best part; you never have to worry about what she likes!
What kind of pathetic person who is older than 13 needs a “woman” to agree with him all the time? That point aside, this is a human exceptionalism issue because it is part of the ongoing drive to objectify/replicate various aspects of human experience, which ironically, is dehumanizing because it diverts us from the importance, enjoyments, and yes, difficulties of the real thing. It is also part of the coup de culture (society based on utilitarianism, hedonism, and scientism/radical environmentalism), with hedonism’s Siren song of dehumanization leading to isolation and disengagement. Also on the horizon, 3D porn. Wow! Imagine the potential for degradation and isolation! Huxley warned us it would be like this.
