01 Track 1

Here is a play I wrote for Christmas . . . and I thought you might enjoy hearing the start of it . . . obviously this is more than a bit tongue in cheek. In the end the play will involve Brownies, who do what angels cannot or will not, and a time traveling Scotsman.

Yikes!

Here is the background to Scene I:

The Community School is on its last legs. Politically correct before politically correct was cool, the school is no longer trendy, just bankrupt. Current “facilitator” and head of the Community School Lora Thomas-Windham is frustrated.

The play begins with Ms. Thomas-Windham confronting a new student (called a “friend” in the Community School) Colleen Lancy about her desire to put up a Christmas tree. Colleen’s room mate has discovered that Colleen is a Baptist.

Laura tries to deal with her new “friend”/student during a party set up to welcome the chief donor to the school.
