Newser , an online news aggregator started by Michael Wolff ( Vanity Fair , New York magazine), claims to “choose the most important stories from hundreds of US and international sources and reduce them to a headline, picture, and two paragraphs.”
That reducing to a picture can be a bit tricky. For instance, today they have an item about the despicable Baptist preacher Steven Anderson who recently said from the pulpit that he was praying that President Obama would die. They also included the picture posted on the right.
It is a picture of a Baptist from Arizonajust not of Anderson. The photo is a YouTube screenshot of James White, director of Alpha and Omega Ministries , who created a video refuting the King James-Only views of the Faithful Word Baptist Church pastor.
In fairness to Newser, it’s an easy mistake to make. I’ve been a Baptist my whole life and I often can’t tell us apart either.
