Gary Francione is an animal rights absolutist who believes that there should be no domesticated animals and no human use of animals for any purpose. I disagree, obviously. But as I have written, he walks the talk: He seeks to lead by example by promoting a 100% vegan lifestyle and he forcefully eschews all violence. He is therefore a radical leader who is indeed worthy of respect.
In this blog entry, Francione takes out after Peter Singer (for promoting infanticide and sex with animals) and PETA (for killing animals), among other purported wrongs. Just follow his links. It makes for interesting reading.
