I took a look at the overview of the Accra &quot;Confession&quot; and can say that the actual content of the &quot;Confession&quot; leaves much to be desired, though that is not to say the effort for an institutional church, as such, to examine current economic regime in a critical light is illegitimate.

As my quotes indicate, I am wary of their use of the term &quot;Confession,&quot; which to be fair to them, they acknowledge is &quot;not a doctrinal confession like the Heidelberg Catechism or Westminster Confession.&quot;  Why not use &quot;declaration&quot; as in &quot;The Barmen Declaration&quot;?  That would seem more appropriate at this point.</description>
