    Credit to President Obama for making a tough call and going forward to win the war in Afghanistan. I will leave it to my betters to argue the details, but we are at war and I support my President in it.

      But the thing that will be talked about tomorrow is the change of strategy. It is now to stabilize the country, not to necessarily defeat the taliban. It sounded more like a new version of the old, discredited containment system.

      My concern is that U.S. policy will continue to be an effort not to lose the war rather than an effort to win it.

      Another concern is that, with no mention of how victory will be achieved, The One has already established a pull-out date.

      Hang in there Mr. Taliban, they’ll be gone before you know it.
