Evidently President Obama’s wanting to play basketball with the guys is disturbing to some people.
I am unclear why this is so.
Sometimes guys like to hang out with guys in their free time. The President lives in a house with three females. He works in an office with gals and guys. Why shouldn’t some of this free time be with his male friends? Aren’t single-sex hang out times different (not better just not the same) than mixed situations?
This desire by the President to play basketball with his male friends is normal and says nothing about his views on anything that should be in the public interest.

It’s not that he plays but how much… while being indecisive about things that affect people’s lives (the war in Afghanistan, for instance). I love a good game of basketball, and I’ll take the president in the paint or from behind the arch any day but only AFTER we take care of our soldiers.

I hate it when conservatives insist on falling for the same tactic that got them all riled up when it was used by liberals on W during his presidency with reports about all his time spent at his ranch while the Iraq war was raging. When the liberal press does it, it’s manipulative, but somehow when the conservative press does it, it’s serious reporting.
Why not actually publicly commend the President for finding healthy and commendable ways to relieve stress and unwind, unlike, say, his Democratic predessor……

Hey, he’s a man of leisure. Most pseudo messiahs view themselves as priests. Priests in the OT liked their creature comforts.
